Anxiety




Traffic, weekend plans, stressful work week - you name it, even our Friday evenings can be anxious.  Let yoga be a tool you can use in and out of class to help relieve anxiety.  Often in the beginning of class I remind people that there is nowhere else that you need to be and nothing else you need to be doing.  Allow yourself to begin to take on this idea in other aspects of your life.  You may still be sitting at your desk working when you should have already left for happy hour (yoga or drinks) but you are where you are.  You can’t fight reality so find peace with the fact that you are still at your desk.  It is what it is.  I am not suggesting we all be passive and defenseless to the world around us, but to instead not resist the things we can’t control.  Let your yoga class be the place where you practice this technique.
