Savasana
Our final pose – savasana (pronounced “sha”vasana) can be the
most challenging pose of all. It is the
pose that encompasses all other poses.
It is when we let our body relax, calm our mind and find our meditation.
When you settle into your savasana allow yourself to
position the body in such a way that it feels completely supported. Sometimes this means releasing our jaw, maybe
resting our knees on a bolster or blanket.
Allow the organs to relax as much as the muscles. Slow the breath, unclench any tension. As our
journey with yoga progresses savasana can transition from a quick cat nap to a
nourishing meditation.
