Be Your Own Teacher


When you come to a yoga class you are being instructed on alignment, form and position by the teacher.  Your yoga teacher can give verbal cues and physical adjustments but the honesty of your practice lies within you.  It is your responsibility as a yogi to listen to your body.  Notice when something doesn't feel appropriate for your build or even your state of mind.  No one knows your body and thoughts better than you – so be your own best teacher.  Take the guidance of your teacher in class as suggestions and choose what is well suited for your body and your practice.
